In the town centre
Due to its altitude, Reutin is a charming district that is still agricultural. The district is also attractive for families and holidaymakers, as many residential areas have been developed in Reutin over the years.
Reutin's history: The first documented mention of Reutin dates back to 1360. The oldest Alpirsbach stock book gives a clear picture of the village at that time: Eleven monastery fiefs are evenly distributed among the districts above, in the middle and below in the village. When the Alpirsbach monastery was dissolved in 1810, Reutin became part of the Oberndorf district. In 1971, the people of Reutin voluntarily wanted to be annexed to the town of Alpirsbach.
